Patience, it's a viture

When we were younger our parents used to tell us, "Patience is a virture, Bobby". Sure, but so what?
I don't think people really care anymore. I know I'm in the group of people that are always saying, "Uhm hello? NOW!!!" And really, I don't think it's that unreasonable. Sure, you can't do everything immediately, but there are somethings that you shouldn't have to wait for.
For instance, in our day and age of amazing technological advances, I don't think it's unreasonable for me to expect my internet to work. I don't even have dial up, so it shouldn't be slow. And I don't think people should have to sit there twiddling their thumbs, waiting for their waitor to return with the check.
Yes, I do realize I can't instantly be transported to Hawaii. But I can expect my car to not take five minutes to get to 40 mph. As humans living in a very hightech society, there really are some things we shouldn't have to wait on.
So, does that mean that patience is no longer a virture?
You bet! No one is patient, that includes you! We all expect things NOW and are shocked when we are told to wait.
Next time someone tells you that you need to be more patient, feel free to roll your eyes cause you know that they aren't patient either.
