Snow

Okay, so yes it snows in Colorado. Having lived here for 17 years it gets old, same cold thing every winter. But that doesn't mean us Colorado-ians should just sit around and complain, so here are some fun things to do in the snow while in Colorado...
1) build a snowman (Yes, we have all made a million but get together some friends and have a competition)
2) have a snowball fight!
3) build an igloo
4) bake gingerbread people with your friends
5) go sledding
6) sit around and catch up (while sipping on hot chocolate)
7) STOP! whatever it is your doing and go take a hot bath
8) do some crafts
9) it's the perfect time for a movie day!
10) Cuddling in front of the fire
See, there are 10 easy things to do...So my fellow Colorado-ians lets rediscover the magic of snow and have a little fun :D

Fear....

The only thing to fear is fear itself, right? I've heard it a million times, that all there is to fear is fear. So, I gotta ask, then why are people so afraid? If all we really have to be afraid of is fear, than what exactly is fear?
The dictionary definition is : "An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that something or someone is dangerous."
Well, then. Just an 'unpleasant' feeling, nothing too bad. Sure. Well I think that people often times take the most innocent of things and twist them into something dangerous, thus causing fears. But then why do people seem to be attracted to the things that really are fearsome? It can't all be about adrenaline. What I find most interesting is that people seem to take the real scary stuff and aren't afraid, they don't fear what they should.
Is that what's wrong with us? We're too powered by our wanting a thrill that we don't step back and think Huh, jumping off a perfectly fine airplane, with just some fabric to prevent my death. Ha, no biggie. Yet, when you place a snake, a harmless gardener, they freak out. Don't get me wrong, I'm probably the last person to talk about this, but I just don't get it.
To be honest I am scared to death of driving, it's so dangerous yet its a daily activity in our lives. So I really don't get how people, knowing how dangerous it is to drive, still goof around behind the wheel. I don't get how people can go jump out of planes and yet are scared of snakes.
I guess I just don't get fear, but really all I want to know is what is fear?

Do you have a life?

So I've been thinking lately, and I've sadly come to the conclusion that it is our jobs that our screwing us over.
Say what? How are out jobs, where we earn money, screwing us over? Wouldn't it be a lack of a job that would do that? Well think about it, you only get paid so much for your services, sometimes (Usually) not enough. Not only that but you are only given a set amount of sick days and vacation time, you have to be in your desk at a certain time, no matter the weather or traffic conditions.
Still unconvinced? In my opinion I am shocked at how, due to our jobs, we are unable to actually have a life. If you have just began a new job and your child gets sick then what? You don't have any days to take off and you know your boss won't let you take off.
I get that yes obviously these things have to be set but still. How are we possibly meant to actually live and contribute to society when we are all so busy rushing to work and stressing because hey you have a child dying of cancer and you don't get to be with them because you have no more sick days.
Stupid corporate America, it's screwing us over. But do those millionaires who spend their days in bed care about poor old you? Hell no! They expect you to do your work and earn them more money no matter what. Sucks to be you, huh?

Didn't you read Pg. 15, Sec, 3 Paragraph 3 5th sentence?

I think that the most hilarious thing is people who are put in charge of something and take it WAY too seriously. I mean if it's like a nuclear power plant then yes I would hope the guy takes it seriously. What I mean is those people whose job isn't that important but who act like it is.
My favoite part of these people is when you do some minor offense and they ask in an arrogant manner, "Well, didn't you read the rules? It clearly states on page 20563, section G, 4th paragraph that you were at offense." I'm like really who has the time to read all these thick and boring rule books we are always being issued.
Now my all time favorite was "It says on page 16 of the handbook, in section H the fifth paragraph I believe...blah blah blah". I just can't get over these people, they make my day, they really do. Just how they think that they are so important for having read the stupid handbook (or whatever) that they actually can tell you where in the book everything is.
Now I have two theories about these people. 1) this is a desperate cry from all the introverts out there that they have no social life and therefore no real life so to speak of and this is how they spend their nights. Memorizing the rules, it's a nightly ritual for them. Or 2) these people are just full of themselves and are making it up, trying to sound all important and impressive, though they really sound like know-it-alls. They believe that by throwing random pages, section and so on, at you that you will believe them, have higher respect of them and not argue with them.
Well, that's my topic of the day, people who know the entire handbook.

Say what?

So, I've gotta ask, how often have you come to this point in your life where there is something you desperately want to tell someone but from some reason or another can't? I think we have all been there, I mean come on, I'm talking anything from telling someone you like them to ask for something from a neighbor. Really it could be anything.
Sure maybe you're one of those people who isn't afraid (or polite) to say what is on your mind. If you are, how do you do it? What is it that keeps us from saying (or asking) what we really want to say? I don't believe it's just our manners, there's a point in life were manners are overcome by need.
What really bugs me about this, because yes this happens to me numerous times a day, is what holds us back, what stops us? Is it just me?
People may  say "Well if there is something on your mind bugging you (or something you desperately need (whether it be something to say or to ask for)) just ask. You're just making things worse."
I may sound whiney but you can't deny that you're there too. My problem is, I'm unsure how to bring it up. Whether it be to ask a favor or tell someone (okay, so most people should know how I feel, but sometimes not) how you feel. I just don't know how to state what is bothering me.
Am I alone on this?

Unreliable...

You know what really bugs me? Unreliable people. Like if someone says they will pick you up at noon then that means noon NOT one o'clock. I mean is it really so hard to call and say you'll be late or that you'll be there between noon and one? I pretty sure it's not going to kill you.
I mean really know, if everyone was reliable think about how smoothly everything in our lives would run. Like no would be late, so that erases all the bad drivers that crash and kill people, and then people would be less stress about people making deadlines (or making the deadline themselves) and viola no more jumpers.
It's really simple people, you know what you are capable of, so don't exaggerate it, that's just not cool. I think I've found the key to world peace! Now if only we could actually become more reliable. I may never understand the philosophy behind unreliable people, I mean do you people actually enjoy letting people down and getting chewed out? If not then CHANGE!!! It's that simple.
*Sigh* well I'm off to find my own means of reliableness.

Escapes

When reality sucks and we don't want to deal with it we all have our little escapes, a way to get away from reality. My escape is my writing, when I write I get caught up in my make believe world were anything can happen and I'm able to whatever I want.
But that's just me, I know some people's escape is reading or running or meditation or painting or whatever. Not all escapes however are goos, sometimes people go through those parts of life where things get a little bumpy and they just completely escape and get so caught up in their escape that they don't care about reality anymore.
I got to thinking, what is it that makes us, humans, create such a stressful life that we end up completely hiding from it. We are in charge of our lives, we create our own happiness and stresses (sure other people can try to create them for you but you shouldn't let them actually do it). So why choose to create such a stressful life that in the end we run from it. What does it say about us as a species that we choose to run away from our issues.
There are some times when we do face them, but this is after we've spent some time with out escape. Are we the only species that does this?
Think about it....

Friends

Friends. We all have them. But really, how many of us have real true friends? There are alot of people out there who will pretend to be your friend, but at the first chance they get chances are they will screw you over.
So what is a true friend? To me a true friend is someone who is always there, someone who never has to ask what's wrong, they just hug you and let you cry. Friends are there when you need some Mariocart therapy or some junk food gorging. Friends don't spread rumors behind your back, friends don't try to ruin your reputation or ruin your relationship. There are a lot of fine lines in life and friends always know when to cross these lines and when not to.
We all have friends, people we call to find out the latest gossip or catch a movie with. But in all honesty how many of us really do have a best friend? A friend that stands up above them all, one who knows you so well and never needs to be told whats bothering you.
I know I have one, one person who will always here me out and be there. And I will always hear them out and let them cry on my should no matter what.
I have some really good friends, some I've known awhile while others I've known not too long. But I also have those friends, we all have them, who aren't good friends. The people who spread rumors, don't give a shot about you, who try to ruin you.
For some reason I seem to attract more bad friends than I do good friends, not too say I don't have those rare few friends that I have who are amazing. But I seem to surround myself with people who are bad for me, and then when I continuously get hurt I wonder why.
So, the questions is, are you a good friend or a bad friend.

I'm not so sure.

Uhm so anyway, here we are. What to say, what to say? Ha ok so mostly I've noticed that all I really do with my blog is rant but hey we all need to get it out somehow, so mind as well provide entertainment for someone.
Okay, so today I went out to lunch with some friends of mine and I have a question, how the hell do some people get their licenses? I'm not saying that they are neccesarily bad drives, just really really stupid. I am amazed by all the dumb drivers out there, by now you would think that there would be way more crashes, but apparently not. It astounds me.
But really that's about it, just wanted to say hi! :D

Bitch, please

Oh. My. God. So I've totally noticed just how much some girls are obsessed with drama. It's sad and pathetic, I mean don't get me wrong, all us chicks have drama but some like seek it out! they have like radar for drama. I hate how into it they get, how once they start playing their 'game' how they don't care about any boundaries, they don't care about anything, just winning. The saddest part is not how willing some girls are to stab their best friends in the back but how desperate they look while their are absorbed in their drama. I'm probably not one to talk, but I can't believe  how into some girls are.
It's sick, really. But hey, how else are they going to get attention? All the care about at the end of the days is that they get what they want, whether that be stealing someone's man or stabbing their best friend in the back or even just 'marking their territory'. Some girls seem to make a life out of it, in truth all us girls are guilty of both causing drama and being involved in drama. I just wanted to get this out there, cause maybe just maybe they will realize their wrong and stop. Don't apologize, that only makes it worse, it shows how willing you are to keep your 'game' going. Just accept that you were a bitch and move on, get over yourself. Stop spreading rumors about those who you call your friend and get a life.
No one really cares in the end. It doesn't matter what goes down, it'll just be forgotten amongst more important things in life. It's hard, I know, we all love the attention we get from our dramas, our 'games', but it just makes us all look petty and immature and just pushes the people we actually want to impress away.
So, no more of your evilness. Stop being a bitch, if I can do it, if I can see the light, then so can you.  Just do us all a favor and get over yourself. :D

Hahaha wow yeah that was a total rant, but it's true.

Annoying-ness

Ugh! ok this is probably going to turn into a rant but I need to get it out!!! UGH!! ok, so there are people who no matter how many times you tell them something it doesn't actually seem to stick! this gets on my nerves. and, of course, they get mad and offended every time you tell them something, even though in the end they don't even listen! it drives me crazy!
im sure theres lots of annoying things out there but for some reason this is one of those things that just makes me want to go all medieval on their asses!! I know I'm not the only one out there that has the same issue!
maybe if there were classes offered to help people remember or at least write things down (wow shocker! hahahaha) then this would happen much less frequently. or maybe people are all just idiots and can't find the effort to care about someone elses problems.
but yeah, this kinda made me feel better.

Love

I've been thinking lately, what is it that makes one person love another? No one's perfect, we all have annoying things we do, and love can only lead to heart break. So why go through all that? I think we do it because well simply who wants to be alone? We all want someone to care for us. But what about those rare relationships, that actually mean something? Is there really such thing as love?
I believe there is. I believe that to find that love that makes you crazy and happy and smile every second, I believe that you have to go through all the wrong people first. When you actually find that someone who makes your day, your world then you will forget about all the heartbreak and never take your significant other for granted.
I believe that there is a soul mate for everyone out there, it's just up to you to find that person and hold on tight because it's not going to be easy. I do believe in love, the emotion of knowing that someone cares for you, that someone is there for you. Love isn't something to fake, it's not something you can find in the grocery store. It's strong, it's hard to find and harder to hold on to but in the end it's the most amazing thing ever.
